CEO and founder
Scissero

Mathias Strasser is a lawyer, technologist, and serial entrepreneur. He is the founder and CEO of WSD, Scissero, and Team Suzie.

WSD, founded in 2009, provides AI-enabled document and workflow automation solutions for issuers of structured products. It was acquired by Bowmark Capital in 2022. Scissero, launched in 2017, is a “new law” firm and legal tech company that integrates human lawyers with AI-driven virtual paralegals to deliver legal services.

Scissero’s vision is that, for the foreseeable future, AI works best as an assistant to human lawyers, rather than a replacement. The platform creates a virtuous cycle, where AI enhances legal work, and in turn, human expertise continuously refines and improves the AI model.

Team Suzie, founded in 2024, takes a different approach: rather than assisting professionals, its AI agents are designed to fully replace humans in handling lower-value, routine tasks. Unlike Scissero, which focuses on AI-human collaboration in law, Team Suzie is industry-agnostic, targeting a wide range of administrative and operational roles where automation can drive efficiency and cost savings. Before founding WSD, Mathias spent a decade as European Counsel at Sullivan & Cromwell, specializing in U.S. and European capital markets, M&A, and private equity transactions.

A lifelong technologist, he began coding on a PET 3001 at age six. He holds law degrees from the University of Vienna and Harvard Law School, along with AI-related certifications from NVIDIA.

Mathias is a frequent speaker at industry conferences on the intersection of AI and business.
